iOS TROUBLESHOOTING

If you’ve already bought the app, then you can download it again and you won’t be charged. Just make sure you’re logged in to the App Store or Google Play Store with the same account that you originally bought it with. Unfortunately this does not apply when users are changing their phone from iOS to Android or vice versa as My Talking Baby does not support cross-platform accounts.

To manage your subscriptions, simply use the “Manage Subscriptions” option in the settings screen of My Talking Baby (tap the cog icon in the top left).

Or use this link:
https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/manageSubscriptions

Or you can just navigate to your account settings on the app store (tap your picture in the top right of the app store, then your name at the top of the menu), then choose subscriptions.

Please note that we have no control over billing or payments, for these kind of issues, please get in touch with Apple support: https://getsupport.apple.com

Record something with the record button then press stop. Now press Share/Save.

• After the sharing options pop up, if you want to save, choose “Save Video”. This will save it to your Camera Roll. You can find these videos by quitting the app and going to the photos app.
• If you want to share to someone else, choose one of the sharing options. If you don’t see the one you want, you may need to install the relevant app, for example Facebook or Twitter.
  • If you are presented with a subscription screen, you have hit the 2 share limit on the app and need to subscribe to continue using it.

Typically if there is no sound, it is either a permissions problem or your volume is turned down too low.

  • Try checking the permission to use the microphone. Leave the app and go to Settings -> Privacy -> Microphone -> My Talking Baby. Make sure the switch is turned on, then relaunch My Talking Baby and try again.
  • If you can’t switch the microphone on there, check in Settings -> General -> Restrictions. The microphone can sometimes be disabled there as well.
  • On the accessibility settings (Settings -> General -> Accessibility), is phone noise cancellation turned off? Try turning it on – it seems that the phone noise cancellation can cause problems.
  • Try turning the volume up (and making sure the mute switch is off) *while* your pet is talking. Sometimes the phone gets confused about whether you’re setting the volume for the app or the ringtone.
  • If you still have the problem, simply delete the My Talking Baby app (touch and hold on the icon until it wiggles, then press the cross), then re-install it again from the app store. It won’t cost anything to download again if you already bought it.
  • Then when you first press the record button with the fresh install, make sure you press the “allow” button when it asks if it can use the microphone, and everything should work fine.

Typically if there are issues with video recording or playback, it is generally a permissions problem.

  • Try checking the permission to use the camera. Leave the app and go to Settings -> Privacy -> Camera -> My Talking Baby. Make sure the switch is turned on, then relaunch My Talking Baby and try again.

One way to find an app is to swipe downwards anywhere on the screen, which brings down a search bar. Type in “my talking baby” and it should appear.

If not then you could try finding it in the App Store and downloading again. It won’t charge you twice for the same app.

How to add the widget:

  1. Swipe right on the homescreen
  2. Scroll down until you see an ‘Edit’ button
  3. Scroll down until you see the My Talking Pet icon and press the green plus sign next to it.

Unfortunately, Apple doesn’t support Family sharing for subscription apps yet.

Go to the Settings app and select “Screen Time”, then “Content and Privacy Restrictions”.

Here you can either turn off Content & Privacy restrictions altogether.

Or you can just select “iTunes & App Store Purchases” then set “In-app Purchases” to “Allow”.

Once you’ve done this, go back to My Talking Baby and try again!

If your problem wasn’t covered in this guide, please email contact@sharemob.com

It would help a lot if you can describe exactly what happened leading up to the problem, and include a screenshot if relevant, or an example video. Please include the version number of the app (tap the settings button in the app and the version number is on the top left of the screen) and the iOS version you are using (Settings/General/About/Software Version).

We’ll do our best to fix it!
